Titling the Postcard in Illustrator

Start with the text shown below. The word at the bottom is separate from the above text. Increase the size of the first and last letters of the bottom word.

Add a background to the card to see the white of the lettering. For this, duplicate the text and turn it white.

.

Convert the text to outline. For the word at the bottom, change its colour and then use Warp Options. Choose Flag on the horizontal. Bend is set to -47% and Horizontal is set to -38%. Select Expand Appearance.

Create a copy of the word and set it aside.

Make a third copy and change its colour. Move it to the left.

Choose Blend Options > Specified Steps and set to 30.

Make a gradient as shown below.

Choose the other lettering we copied earlier. Apply a light stroke to the lettering. Ungroup the lettering. Select one letter at a time and choose the Gradient tool. Drag upwards slightly at a slant. Play with the gradient until you have each one correct.

Drop it on a new background. Adjust the placement of the top lettering. You are done!
